On Saturday 8th May we returned to training!! This is always an exciting time but this season it is extra special. With so much disruption and an uncomfortable amount of time without any 1st team action, this really did feel like the new beginning that we’re all desperate for.
The lads, and a few trialists, returned and all looked sharp. In the awful, blustery weather conditions we were treated to, they kept the intensity up for the entire session. It was impressive to see such effort on display on their return.
It also had the usual first day of school vibe. The obligatory catch-up chats were almost as intense as the training during the short periods of downtime throughout the session. The excellent team dynamic which was prevalent last season has remained a key part of this group.
