During the season all the players contribute to a “fines” fund which is normally used to help pay for their end of season team holiday to the sun.  Clearly that is not possible to do this year.  As a result, the players have decided to donate this money, around £600, to the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal.  Additionally, the players, organised by Aaron Dawson, have added a further £200 to this amount.  As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic the players are currently furloughed and will likely to be until the end of their contracts so a fantastic gesture on their part.

The Chairman has now agreed to the Club adding a further £200 to this donation making it around £1000 in total.

From The Stars Appeal…

“Dear Mr Ayres,

I do hope you are keeping safe and well.

Further to your communications with Dave Cates, our Head of Fundraising, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the terrific donation towards the Stars Appeal, Salisbury District Hospital’s Charity and for sending us the completed donation form. We are so grateful to Salisbury FC and it’s players for this terrific support.”
