I am sorry to have to advise Whites’ supporters that our Press Officer, Alec Hayter, had to be rushed to hospital on Saturday after suffering a massive bleed on the brain.
He is currently being treated in Intensive Care in the Neuro ward at Southampton General Hospital and so far is responding well to treatment though he is still in a serious condition.
As well as preparing his match summaries, Alec was also responsible for the preparation of the match day programme, but I am grateful to Ian Pearson who is taking on this responsibility for the time being.
I am sure you will all want to join with me in wishing Alec a full and speedy recovery and like me, hope to see him back at the Ray Mac later in the season.
