After announcing the loan signing of Tobi Ogundeg, we’re also pleased to tell you that we’ve secured a double loan signing from Port Vale. Tommy McDermott and James Plant have both joined us at Salisbury FC.
Attacking midfielder, Tommy McDermott is a product of the Port Vale Academy. He netted six goals and provided 11 assists for the Port Vale Under 18s in the 2021/22 season on his way to becoming, Youth Team Player of the Year. He was then rewarded with a pro contract and has already had a taste of first-team football at Darrell Clarke’s, Port Vale.
James Plant made his first-team debut as a late sub for Port Vale EFL Trophy. The midfielder then went out on loan to Nantwich Town where he was named man of the match for his debut performance When he left Nantwich their supporters praised his “creative playing style and energetic performances”.
