The Development squad are next up at the Ray Mac on the 17th October (3pm K.O) when they take on Midhurst and Easebourne reserves in a Hampshire Combination League Challenge Cup 1st round tie.
The young Whites go into the tie with confidence after their last two results. Last time out, which was also a cup tie in the JSMS cup, the Whites overcome Newport I.O.W 2 v 0. The Week before that they were very unlucky to only draw 2-2 with US Portsmouth. A side who still remain unbeaten in league action for 13 months.
The Midhurst side went down 5v1 last weekend in the Sussex Intermediate cup to AFC Southbourne. But that result tells our management nothing about the standard of the opposition as we know nothing about either side. The Stags currently have played only 3 league games which have reaped just 1 point so far. However, it must be said, ‘the season has only just started’.
