TRAINING

In regards to the football side of things here at Get Active Salisbury we are developing a really strong group, but what’s more important is the improvement and development the players have made this season. We currently have players here at the academy who have progressed in the Salisbury under 18s and also the under 23s which is credit to them and how well they have worked this season. We have always said to the students there is a pathway to the first team, we can’t promise anything but we can definitely promise we will give all students the best possible chance to fulfil their dreams at the football club.

You can have the most ability in the world, but if you’re not dedicated and willing to work hard then you won’t get very far so we always instil that into every training session and tell the players to be the best they can be each day they come into the academy. We train on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon with their education taking place in the morning and we then play matches against other academies on a Wednesday afternoon. All matches are recorded and then watched back and we then do the analysis side of things in order to make improvements for the next game.

We offer travel in the minibus where our driver will go out and pick up the students from certain areas and then drop them back at the end of each day. If there is anything you would like to discuss about the course, please get in touch with me. Email – [email protected] Phone – 07957353791

ACHIEVING

A college with an emphasis on the educational side of the sports industry which, in my opinion, is second to none and will help students gain the grades to go on to university. Learning in a fun, none pressurised environment, with a tutor that actually loves his job and cares about his students, backed up by two qualified coaches, including an ex-professional footballer, gives us and the students, the best of both worlds.

Keano, Salisbury FC First Team and Academy Coach.
