Steve adds new keeper and defender

By Thom Belk

Steve Claridge's hard work in association with Director of Football Micky Jenkins this week paid further dividends today with the signings of goalkeeper Will Britt and defender Kieran Parcelle.

The pair join Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain, signed earlier today, and all three will take their place in the Whites' squad for the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West curtain raiser against Evesham United at the Ray Mac tomorrow (Saturday August 6th, 3pm).

The addition of Will, 21, who has been featuring in the Southampton Under 23 side, comes as a massive boost following the end of Charlie Searle's loan deal last week. Will was a former Saints scholar with James Ward-Prowse and Luke Shaw and won the FA Youth Cup in 2013 whilst on work experience with Norwich City.

Kieran Parselle, 19, has come in from Newport County on loan and is highly recommended by Exiles boss Warren Feeney, a former Salisbury City player. The deal was negotiated by Callum Hart, former teammate of Warren's.

"We are grateful to Southampton and Newport for helping us get these deals done," said Steve. "These are good players and I am hoping they do well both for us and themselves."
