CUP FOOTBALL at the Ray Mac this Saturday
Salisbury FC U18 v Forest Green Rovers U18
Scott Bartlett brings his young FGR side to the Ray Mac this Saturday morning to take on Richard Rendall and Mark Sommerton's under 18's in the semi finals of the Gary Else memorial league cup.
Supporters not travelling to Devon for the 1st team game this weekend can still get there Saturday football fix by coming along and support the Whites as they go ahead to head with Rovers for a place in the final.
This will be the third meeting between these two sides this season. The Whites brought all 3 points back from Gloucestershire back in September when goals from Ronan Clancy and Jack Roberts cancelled out a Kray Roberts strike. However FGR got their revenge in the return fixture when Jordon Morris scored the only goal of the game to make it 3 points a piece in the league encounters. FGR currently sit in 2nd in the league with Salisbury in 3rd place. Hence it is fair to say there is not a lot between these two sides so a keenly contested game between two good footballing sides is in store for those that can make it up to the Ray Mac to support the young Whites.
Richard and Mark will likely be without Chae Sykes who picked up a knee injury during the last development game. However following on from last Saturdays courageous 1 v 1 draw at Cirencester were they was only able to field 10 players for the whole match, they know whatever side they put out will play for the shirt, the team and give nothing less than 100%.
So if your not travelling to Barnstaple get yourself up to the Ray Mac, have a morning coffee and a hot bacon roll in the bar before kick off, and a nice cold drink at half time and after the game.
Kick Off - 10:30am
Gates open - 9:45am
Admission - Free to all ages.
There will be a donation bucket should supporters wish to help contribute to Salisbury FC Youth's costs of running the stadium on the day and repairing the pitch afterwards.
