Playing squad - update

Salisbury’s squad shows the following recent changes:

Jordan Alawode Williams, Siph Mdlalose, and Tyrell Skeen-Hamilton have left the Club.

Manager Steve Claridge commented: “These players would, it transpired, have had limited pitch time competing for a place in what is a strong squad, and it is in their interests therefore to seek playing minutes elsewhere. We wish them well with their careers, and thank them for their input whilst with us.”

Ben Morgan and Liam Driscoll have suffered injuries which meant that their involvement with the Club has been curtailed , whilst Bouwe Bosma also unfortunately suffered a ligament injury in the game against Shaftesbury FC.

Claridge said “Bouwe had appeared regularly and done well for us, but the extent of his injury means that he’ll probably be out of action for the rest of this season. The squad has therefore been depleted, but we are in negotiations with new players at the moment, and I am hopeful that we will make additional signings shortly.”

Development Squad News

Logo General

Salisbury FC Development squad have made it through to the Final of the Wyvern Combination Football League Challenge Cup following a 4 - 0 win away to Petersfield Town FC.

A hat-trick from the lethal T.J Mosely including a goal from a free-kick and one from the penalty spot was rounded off in style when he got on the end of a defence-splitting through-ball to slot past the keeper. The Whites' scoring was finished off by Charlie Rayfield with a neat finish at the far post to make the 150-mile round trip all the more worthwhile.

Chris Burden's and Mike Easterbrook’s charges will now face the winners of Wimborne Town and Baffins Milton Rovers who will play their Semi-Final this coming Saturday. That final will take place at Romsey Town FC on Friday 29th March 7:45 K.O.

If you fancy a bit of Friday night footy before the trip up to Staines the following day, your support would be really appreciated by the players and Management. COYW

Pablo Haysham has left the Club, and has signed for Didcot Town. Manager Steve Claridge commented: " With the emergence of Jack Sparkes, combined with Danny Young's having a good season, we felt that Pablo would have limited opportunities with us. New signing, plus more player news

The Whites have completed the loan signing of 20 year old winger Siphesihle Mdlalose from Premiership side Southampton. The exciting winger will be with Salisbury until the end of the season.

Mdlalose progressed through the Saints’ Academy, after having joined Southampton in 2015, and subsequently played in their Under 18 setup at the age of 16.

He will be available for the match at Hendon FC on Saturday.

Manager Steve Claridge commented on this latest loan signing, and that of Ben Morgan:

“Mdlalose is a very quick attacking player, and we are very pleased to have him on board.”

In relation to Ben Morgan he confirmed: “We have suffered injuries to central defenders and have been interested in signing Ben for some time.  He has played against us, firstly at Yate, and then in a pre-season friendly, and impressed on both occasions.

I would like to thank the parent clubs, Southampton and Bristol Rovers, for their assistance with these players which has meant that our Club has two good additions at very little expense. Both players were very keen to come to us, and we look forward to their involvement in helping us to finish as high as possible in the League.”

Regarding recently-signed Tyrell Skeen-Hamilton, Claridge said that his absence from action with the Whites was caused by his involvement with his club AFC Bournemouth, but that it is likely he would be in the squad for Hendon
