MATCH PREVIEW: Wimborne Town v Salisbury FC Development Squad

 Salisbury FC Development Team head to Wimborne Town tomorrow evening in the Wyvern Challenge Cup, Chris Burden and Mike Easterbrook’s squad will be looking to continue their so far unbeaten record this season. 

Director of Football, Mick Jenkins works closely with the pair and will be overseeing the cup tie with several First Team players looking set to feature.

Brandon Mundy and Claudio Herbert could both make their comebacks from injury at Wimborne, both have been nearing a return and this looks like the ideal opportunity to reintroduce them.

George Colson, who came on as a substitute looks set start as do Mundy and Herbert.

Adam Flint and Reece Rusher who have both been key members of the Development Squad will also play their part and awaiting on the fitness of Ashton Leigh who has been equally influential.

Mick Jenkins spoke to us ahead of Tomorrow’s clash.

“Our development side are showing really encouraging signs this season as we go forward. We remain unbeaten this season and that shows the great character and potential of what we have here”

“Adam, Reece and Ashton have been great performers for us so and Chae Sykes has been consistently performing well for us and he’ll lead the line for us at Wimborne”

“We have some great young talent at the club, as I’ve seen in previous encounters. And we have the likes of of Max Whittaker and Theo Wolfarth, Charlie Burden and Jordan Matthews now showing consistency.”
