Jenkins delighted with Development's performance

Salisbury FC Development Squad stormed to a 15-1 victory against Wimborne Town on Wednesday night in the Wyvern Challenge Cup. The Whites were in ruthless form in front of goal as they
went in at the break leading 10-1.

Brandon Mundy and Claudio Herbert both had successful come backs from injury. Mundy played 65 minutes and scored a first half hat-trick, Herbert was in the thick of the action with assists before being withdrawn at the break as a precaution.

Director of Football, Mick Jenkins was delighted with the emphatic cup victory

A fantastic display, we were three up within the first ten minutes. We were aggressive and hungry; the boys did everything they were asked to do. We had some great attacking play, scored some wonderful goals and our finishing was clinical

Wimborne weren’t great, but you’ve still got to beat what’s in front of you. The attitude was first class, as it has been all season.

They were a young team but our oldest player was only 24 (Claudio Herbert) our side played with great maturity and gelled very well

Flint, Leigh, Wolfarth, Sykes and Rusher we’re all on top form tonight. Brandon and George both put in a good shift and the attitude of them both was spot on.

It’s a credit to the way the Chris Burden and Mike Easterbrook run the team.
