We’re pleased to announce that Aaron McCreadie has signed for Salisbury FC. The 20-year-old midfielder joins from Gosport Borough.
Aaron joined Oxford United’s Academy at the age of 9 & progressed through the Oxford United Academy earning a professional deal thereafter. He was sent out on loan to Hayes & Yeading and Gosport Borough to gain experience. On his release in the summer of 2020, Aaron joined Gosport Borough.
I spoke to Aaron this afternoon and he was happy to answer a few questions.
Welcome to the Ray Mac, Aaron. Are you looking forward to getting started?
Yeah, of course, after having so much time off because of COVID I’m just so excited to get back to playing football.
I guess you know a lot of the lads already so settling into the squad should be easy?
Yeah, I know a few of the boys from Gosport and already have been to a few training sessions where I got to know a few people and everyone made me feel really welcome so should be easy settling into the squad.
What are your hopes for the season ahead?
For the club, we are hoping to be up there and aiming for promotion. For me personally, I just want to play as much as possible and get back to playing football.
What is your work other than football?
Outside of football I do a lot of coaching where I run some group sessions and some 1-1 sessions which I really enjoy.
