I’ve spent the morning with the folks at Salisbury FC Walking Football which took place at Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club on Wilton Road. It was great to see so many players turn up and excited to play football again. As I chatted to various members, they all said how much they’d missed the sessions and were happy to get back. To have a game and see all their friends again was huge. You could see the lift it gave everyone as they walked towards the outdoor pitches. Each and every one of them were greeted with a warm welcome.
Many of the players are fans of Salisbury FC and I regularly see them on the terrace. They love their football and the social scene they get with it.
