This time, Ian is joined by the Salisbury FC Manager, Steve Claridge. He welcomes 6 new players to the Ray Mac.

Press Officer, Alec Hater said the following…

The Whites are pleased to announce the following new signings for next season:

26 year old striker Harry Baker has joined Salisbury from local rivals Poole Town. Having started his career at Western League Gillingham Town he signed for Weymouth after appearing in a Dorset Senior Cup Final against them.

Baker made 32 appearances for the Dolphins, finding the net 14 times, and was in the Poole Town side beaten 2-1 at the Ray Mac in December.

In addition, two signings have been made from Gosport Borough:

24 year old central defender Samuel Roberts started his career at AFC Totton before moving to Winchester City and subsequently Gosport, and helped Boro’s survival in the Southern Premier League last season.

Attacking midfielder Charlie Davis also joins from Gosport. The 25 year old attacking midfielder also played for Dorchester Town last season, making over 50 appearances and scoring 12 goals. He is an experienced player having had spells at AFC Bournemouth, Poole Town, Weymouth, and Spanish side Cadiz.

Another ex Dorchester Town player, 20 year old midfielder Antonio Diaz, who also started his career at AFC Bournemouth, joins from Wimborne Town. He was a previous transfer target for the Whites when at Dorchester.

Salisbury players from last season who have re-signed are Marcus Beauchamp, Lewis Benson, Darren Mullings, Warren Bentley and Ollie Knowles, whilst talks are ongoing with others.

With one exception, formal FA confirmation is awaited for all signings, but no problems are anticipated with these.
