A Matty Briggs stunner allowed his side back into the game, having gone behind at the break, from an early goal. The sides will replay their match on Tuesday.

The Visitors broke the deadlock early on as Jimmy Muitt played the ball across the box, finding Louis Storey waiting to pounce.

10 minutes later, Josh Hedges made a curved run along the edge of the box, he feinted his shot to evade the first defender. He is picked up by another man as he shoots, who made the block.

In the 16th minute, it was Alfie Rutherford for Dorking, who found space to shoot. Will Buse got down low, managing to untangle the ball from his feet before the waiting attackers could get a touch on it.

35 minutes in, Tommy-Lee Higgs tried to shoot from outside the box, it rocketed towards goal but Phillips was able to pull off the save.

Just minutes later, McShane tried one from a similar range, although he was unable to find the target, and the ball ricocheted into the stands.

The Whites’ best chance of the first 45 fell on the cusp of half time, as Harry Tustin fired a bouncing shot low. Noah Phillips did excellently to get down low and make the save.

The first chance of the second half came in the 49th minute. Noah Coppin played a looping ball over the top to Matty Briggs, who controlled the ball with his chest before getting on the end of it. He stabbed the ball past Noah Phillips to find the equaliser for his side.

The rest of the second half brought a flurry of half chances, the best of which is when substitutes combined as Josh Keeya found Jordan Ngalo down the right wing. He played a promising ball first time, but there were no white shirts waiting for him.

A big chance fell to Dorking late on in the 86th minute, as Dennon Lewis fired in a corner, which clattered against the near post to deny him the winner. The match will be replayed on Tuesday at Meadowbank, kicking off at 7:45pm.
