Salisbury suffer a heavy 0-6 defeat to mid-table Maidenhead after a recent surge in league form.
The hosts came out swinging in the opening minutes, as there was an opportunity to leapfrog the Magpies in the league, creating multiple chances and flashes of creativity off the back of three straight league wins.
Hedges looked particular bright early-on, dropping in to receive the ball and carry into the open grass.
However, optimism and excitement quickly turned to disappointment as Maidenhead were able to go a22head against the run of play within 20 minutes after a strike from Josh Popoola.
The disappointment was then doubled as the Magpies added a second not long after through Cochrane, provided this time by Popoola.
The Whites, however, were not down and out just yet, creating chances to get back into the match that were blocked in the box, most notably from Briggs and Coppin.
But Salisbury’s evening turned from bad to worse, and within ten minutes of the interval, Maidenhead had scored their third and fourth goal through Umerah and skipper De Havilland.
Chances for the Whites became scarce and the visitors assumed total control of proceedings, leaving the crestfallen Salisbury players in their wake.
At the hour mark, the Berkshire-based club had added a fifth courtesy of Popoola, who put in a man-of-the-match performance, and did not look like stopping anytime soon.
They then scored their sixth through substitute Noah Stewart, finalising a crushing defeat at the Ray Mac.
The Whites will look ahead to Maidstone United away on Saturday, as they look to make amends in Kent.
