The Whites made their return to the Ray Mac, still on the hunt for their first win of the season against Tonbridge Angels. The away side broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, through Bobby Unwin whose header from close range rocketed past Buse.

The scoreline remained the same until the 73rd minute when substitute Brody Peart found his side’s second of the afternoon from a corner, and Babajide added another to the tally just seven minutes later.

A late penalty converted by Noah Coppin gave his side some hope, but the twelve minutes of injury time at the end of the match were not enough for Salisbury to find the back of the net again.

Their opponents, whose ground lies just four miles away from The Ray Mac, have done well not only in the preliminary rounds of the FA cup, but in their league as well. They are undefeated in the Velocity Wessex Football League, the most recent of which being a 4-0 win against Bournemouth.

Prior to this they carried out a six-goal thriller against New Milton Town, which ended 3-3. Goals went in for Cameron Roach, Thomas Moseley, and Archie Lovegrove.

Their previous FA Cup qualifying match was away to Hythe & Dibden FC, a match in which they narrowly beat their opposition 1-2. Archie Lovegrove found himself on the scoresheet again alongside Chae Sykes.

The two sides faced each other previously in a pre-season fixture, a match which displayed a dominant Salisbury performance, who came away from the match with a 0-5 win.
