The Whites are back on the road to take on mid-table Maidstone United after being on the receiving end of a six-goal thrashing at home to Maidenhead United.

Salisbury will want to chalk Tuesday night as a one-off performance, hoping they can take recent away form in the league with them to Kent, which included wins against Chesham and Enfield Town.

The hosts, however, will hope to smell blood and pounce on a side that may have had their confidence knocked.

The form guide makes good reading for the visitors, as the Stones have only managed to claim three points in their last five league games; dropping points against the likes of Tonbridge Angels, Ebbsfleet, Dorking and Enfield, paired with one win against relegation candidates, Chippenham.

Tuesday night at the Ray Mac saw Salisbury struggle to contain shining individual quality – most notably from winger Josh Popoola – which is something the side will look to address.

Josh Hedges asked the most questions of the Maidenhead defence, especially in the first half, as a handful of cute turns and incisiveness with the ball brought positive opportunities for the Whites.

With both teams in need of a convincing performance, Saturdays affair could shape up to be an entertaining fixture at the Gallagher Stadium.
